      • nighthawk, Sonic CD is a pretty big ISO (450MB). I don't think my email provider will allow attachments that big. It would be much easier if you could modify the ISO file yourself. Do you know how to use a hex editor? If so, I can probably figure out the addresses that you'll need to change.

          • nighthawk, I found and tested the codes/hacks for infinite time and 100 rings and they seem to work fine. Because there are so many addresses that need to be changed, you're going to have to do the changes yourself with a hex editor. Don't worry, it's fairly easy.

            For 100 rings:

Follow the exact directions in this guide for "Don't lose rings when hit": http://codehut.gshi.org/SonicCDhack.txt

The only difference will be that you'll change the 33FC000000FF1512 to 33FC006400FF1512. This will give you 100 rings every time you're hit. I know you wanted to always have 100 rings, but this will work just fine. You'll need to make this change to every occurrence of 33FC000000FF1512. There should be around 75 of them.

            Inf time:

Search for every occurrence of 52210C11003C6510 and change the 5221 to 4E71. It should look like this when you're done: 4E710C11003C6510. Again, you'll need to do this around 75 times.

I only changed the first occurrence for 100 rings and infinite time and it worked fine for the first level. If you want to only change the first occurrence for 100 rings and inf time just to test it out, that might be a good idea just to make sure you're doing it right. Then you can test it on the first level.

As far as the "7 Time Stones/Good Futures" codes/patch, I have no idea what that is, or where to find them. When I get some time, I'll look into that some more.

I think you're asking how I found the addresses in the ISO file? With Sonic CD it's much easier than most other games because you can use the other Sonic games for Genesis to help you figure out what ISO addresses to change. Sonic CD uses the same assembly language as Genesis.

                  • hey tony rimsky82 made a par code for snatcher, can you help me hex edit my iso?

                    • If the PAR code modifies a RAM address, then you can't use it to directly edit the iso file. You can use the RAM address to help you figure out how to modify the iso, but it takes some work.

                        • I'm working on other codes right now, so check with Rimsky82 and see if he can help with your request. If not, let me know and I'll take a look at it in the near future.

                              • nighthawk, do you know how to use a hex editor? If so, I can throw together a quick post on how to get the desired affect (have all 7 stones/Good futures). There will be some work involved on your part (several offsets to change in the iso file).
