  • Apologies if this is the wrong topic for it, I have been doing some Sega CD research over the past few weeks. But I have to ask, How do you guys go about finding these hex strings in the iso?

    I have a few ram addresses written down using Artmoney (I feel it works much better than cheat engine although Bizhawk works just as well.) however they are all PRG Ram and from what I read, very few emulators even support these types of addresses, debugger or otherwise. I'd love to take a stab at a few Sega CD games.

      A guy named lee4 has a link in his sig that is supposed to show how to make and use SegaCD codes. I've never looked at it, so I don't know which method he uses. Just find any post he's made, and you will find the link to his guide.

      I personally use CE, or a few different versions of Gens (Gens Tracer, Gens 9.5b, Gens 9.5c, or Gens 10), depending on what I want to do.

      • Just tried Gens 11 which has a working tracelog for Sega CD. Works like a charm. Thank you!

        • Does anyone know to get/hack max Silver in LUNAR TSS and the items inventory? The BRM save file if possible, thanks.

            I made a cheat editor for Lunar: TSS that might be helpful. It lets you buy anything in shops for free, and it also gives you access to the built-in game debug features. I know you can modify lots of stuff like character stats, but don't know if it will let you modify your silver or inventory.

                  If you use the "Search" box on this page, you'll find codes for Keio Flying Squadron. Looks like there are at least some codes for lives and invincibility.

                  Haven't checked for Demolition Man.

                    Recently made a Sega CD Search/Patch Tool and it looks like it works fine with both of the RAM addresses for Keio Flying Squadron (lives and invincibility).

                    Sega CD program: https://gamehacking.org/vb/forum/vid...267#post217267

                    You can enter these RAM addresses into the program, and it will find 11 matches for the 11 levels in the game, and patch your ROM so that you'll have infinite lives, start with more lives (Only one match for this one, which you can adjust to whatever value you want), invincibility, or you can adjust how long you stay invincible after getting hit. You can patch any combination of these cheats into your ROM, or you can do all of them.

                    FFF856 = Lives
                    FFF854 = invincibility
