  • [REQUEST] Sorcerian Mega Drive & KyuuYaku Megami Tensei SFC

Oh just anything would be nice, since there's virtually nothing for either of these. Typical stuff I suppose - Inf HP and what not. I'm new here and this is my first request, so please correct me if I didn't post this correctly / properly.
    TY!

Sorcerian appears to be a Japanese RPG game. Are you playing the Japanese version, or a translated English ROM?

If you're playing the Japanese version, how difficult is it to figure out the game? If you're playing a translated version, which one? No ROM links, but linking to a ROM ips patch is ok.

So there's two patches. Neither is fully translated. One claims to be more finished than the other, but I can't tell the difference. A good chunk of the menus are done, but almost none of the in game text which makes completing quests a little tricky. I'm not sure which one I've been using, but I could switch to either. https://www.romhacking.net/games/69/ . Thank you!

These codes are for the newer of the two patches (SSTranslations, ver 0.5), but I also tested the codes on the unaltered Japanese version and they worked, so I'm guessing the codes will work on the other Naflign translated version as well.

        Sorcerian (SSTranslation ver 0.5) Genesis/MD

        AJWT-AA2C
Don't get charged in shops (although you still have to have enough gold to cover the cost). Has only been tested in the weapon shop, but may work in others as well. Let me know.

Don't get charged in shops (works even if you don't have enough gold). Has only been tested in the weapon shop, but may work in others as well. Let me know.

Will make some more codes once I know if these work for you, and if they work in other shops.

Yup, just tried them out. They seem to work. Can't tell if they work 100% since some of the Japanese is tricky. Not sure if it's telling me I don't have enough money or there's nothing that character can equip for sale. But codes do have some positive effect in several different shops.

EDIT: I think it's the latter since characters are restricted to equipment by class in this game. I'm getting negatives, for instance, when I take the fighter into the magic shop, etc.

Only tested these in the Grey Dungeon. Let me know if they work elsewhere.

              Sorcerian (SSTranslation ver 0.5) Genesis/MD

              DKJA-AA6Y
Hit enemies from anywhere (melee attacks only). You will usually get a "room cleared exp bonus" since you will normally kill all enemies on screen with one hit (C button).

              GKJT-AA9E
Invincibility (enemies pass right thru you). Doesn't work on bosses.

              AL7T-AA8N
              Infinite Magic Power (Mag. P).

So the hit all enemeies only works with melee attacks. Magic projectiles will still work as normal. Everything else is spot on.

When you said "Magic projectiles will still work as normal", can you clarify on that. Does Mag. P in the game window mean Magic projectiles, or Magic Power? Does the inf magic code only work on some magic?

Thanks for the code notes, I'll change the Hit anywhere code to include melee only.

Oh yeah, the Infinite magic works fine. Just doesn't kill in one hit the way sword strikes do
Another thing I noticed. The invincibility doesn't work on bosses. Seems to work everywhere else though.
Oh, and I double checked, the 2009 patch is a bit better, so using that one.

If you'd like an invincibility or a 1 hit kill code for bosses, I'll need a save state. If there are any other codes you'd like, let me know.

Oh these will be plenty. I'm able to use them quite effectively. And TY again! I can send you save states anyway if you just want to fiddle with the codes more. What sections of the game would you like? Just the next boss I come to?

Oh hey, I have a slightly related/unrelated general question. I use KEGA, and it doesn't allow for PAR support for CD games. Is there a way to make that functional? Or perhaps a different emulator that allows for that? Or not a proper topic for these message boards?
