  • Using Sega Saturn Action Replay Codes In a progam like Artmoney?

    Is there a way to convert Saturn AR codes to use for Artmoney or some other similar program into hex or something friendly for said program? I ask since SSF doesn't support cheats natively as everyone knows. If so, how do I go about this or more so, how to add codes?

    I'm not asking how to find cheats or make them. That is another story I'm not interested in.

    There is actually a way to enter cheats to SSF, but it's a little convoluted:

      Yeah. That is what I feared though. To be honest I knew about this method, but I never though of using this method because of it, but we'll see if there is something easier.

          Oh really? Where do you add them in the program? Do you set the value? I'm not sure. I've been messing around with it, and can't figure it out.

            While SSF is running
            in ArtMoney
            Table > Info > Emulator
            check mark "Use Emulator Options"
            to see your emulator is listed

            press insert key
            to add code
            in Emul.address box

            AR code = Emul.address
            30200000 = 00200000
            10200000 = 00200000
            36000000 = 06000000
            16000000 = 06000000

            change
            Type: integer 1 bytes for value is less than 00FF

            Type: integer 2 bytes for value is greater than 00FF

              Alright. That is much less complicated and more simple, but one more question, how do I enter a code like this:

              Infinite Energy P1
              160D19FC 00A6

              and apply that to what you showed me above? I think I missed the point of the example because of this.

                Type: Integer 1 byte

                  That is better, I do notice that codes that when I enter certain codes like

                  Infinite Time

                  160DB57A 0009
                  160FF978 0009

                  The value defaults to NO when I try to change it if I enter 09 in the Value box. Same for other codes that are doesn't include a letter. If I can fix that, then it should be done. That Infinite health code for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 sucks anyway since it's buggy. I don't think it's artmoney's fault though. I also notice that entering the first half part of the line by default gets you the value as well, but that was with Infinite Health.

                    Infinite Time

                    you need enter the code as two different codes

                    Emul.address: 060DB57A
                    Type: Integer 1 byte
                    Check mark: Freeze

                    Description: Infinite Time
                    Value: 09
                    Emul.address: 060FF978

                      Oh yeah, I suppose to change 1 to 0. I entered everything right, and these codes just don't seem to work still. I guess I should test another game for now. Here is an example:

                      http://i57.tinypic.com/2cpanww.png

                      Sorry to be a bother.

                      Mega Man 8 has better results.

                        you doing it wrong

                        do not enter the code in "address" box or "PC address" box

                        codes enter in "Emul.address" box

                        see my picture careful again

                          Much better now. I also was entering codes in emul.adress and not just address. Infinite Time doesn't work still, and I copied everything like you posted it, and I made sure I was inserting the code into emul.adress, and the respective value were it needed to be, but like I said, I got something going so, thanks. I don't want to burden you all day long. I don't have these problems with other UMK3 codes and none at all in Mega Man 8 as it is after some adjustments. I'm just glad that there is an easy way to get cheats going through a separate address editor that works with SSF. Once again, thank you.

                            Ah you are using
                            SSF_012_beta_R3
                            is different from I using

                            Type: Integer 2 bytes
                            check mark: Reverse

                            for umk3 like this
                            Attached Files
                            lee4 Does Not Accept Codes Requests !

                              That actually worked, but how can you tell when you need to use another Integer and to use the reverse option?

                              Oh and I am using 0.12 Beta R3.

                              Also do all codes for other games start have to start with 0? I notice a code like this for a game like Astral for Example starting with a 3. I have no plans on playing it, but I just want to know just in case I play a game that starts with a number besides 1.

                              360DBD38 0005 (Energy)
