  • [Fixed] Incorrect format for lots of N64 codes.

    Mr rimsky82
If/when you have some spare time...I was hoping you could look into this.

I've been manually fixing tons of codes, but it's so time consuming and I know with your programming skills and whatnot, you could likely get this done in no time.

A lot of the Nintendo 64 codes are showing up as encrypted Xplorer codes, when they're actually not.
Since most all of them are simple 80/81 code types, I've been unchecking the encrypted box and changing the code type to GameShark so the database will display/export them properly.

In this image you can see how the database does not recognize the code.

Here's a picture showing the standard 80/81 code type having encryption box checked:

I'm also noticing that's it's very common to see the "50" code type being identified as XP instead of GS by default:

Just in case you need it, this page shows what code types work with both AR/GS and XP:

Hey, I think I recall working on this years ago... iirc the trouble was I didn't have a sure-fire way to identify them solely based on the code. I thought I got most of them, evidently I missed a bunch.
Please put all complaints in writing and submit them here.

Above link not working? Try here.

Thanks for the fixes sir, I couldn't find your paypal donation link though

The only N64 code related thing left to look into, is the database not knowing what an A0/A1 code type is:

Here's an example of codes being identified as XP instead of GS because the database does not recognize the A0/A1 code type:

The game is Super Mario 64 and the codes are by InterAct.
