  • New Posts Get Updated As Soon As I Submit My Post

    Anyone else having this issue?
Every time I make a new post, it gets copied and then after the page refreshes it says my post was updated.

It started like yesterday for me.

    It only happens sometimes.

Yes, that's been happening to me too. I've been editing them as soon as it happens, but here is an example from someone else: http://gamehacking.org/vb/threads/17...752#post107752

A little more info... The "Updated" bug doesn't happen every time for me. I also noticed that when I do an edit to my posts and click the Save button, after about 20~30 seconds it still hasn't saved. Refreshing the browser causes it to save. I'm using Firefox.

EDIT: As you can see, this post has the "Updated" bug.

EDIT2: Both of these things (The "Updated" issue and the not saving issue) seemed to start happening at the same time.

This is probably fallout from updating PHP, in advance of updating the forums. We're currently testing in a sandbox, and will be rolling out the new forums shortly (threads and such will be retained; just functionality and appearance will change).

Apologies for any inconvenience. It'll be worth it.

No worries LB. Easy work-arounds so far. Looking forward to the new forums.

Thank you very much for the responses you guys, I thought my browser was being stupid.
And as, Tony said, no worries LB thank you for responding and giving a heads-up.
