  • Mysterious PS4 "Wireless Adapter" Certified

Sony has certified a "wireless adapter" with the Federal Communications Commission, indicating it may be planning to release a new peripheral for the PlayStation 4.

As spotted by DualShockers, the device is listed with the CUH product code, which is associated with the PS4 and its accessories. The wireless adapter has a five volt power supply and is described as a bluetooth transceiver.

I dunno if this should have been reported. Since there's no clues as to what it is we can only speculate. And I can't think of anything else that would need to be wireless. It already has wifi. There's a remote control. Controllers are already wireless and can connect to pc without the need for an adapter. Maybe the hdmi cord could be wireless. Certainly not the power cord. Maybe it could be a ir blaster like Xbox One S?
