It's totally up to the individual hacker as to when they decide to try for the code. There's also some strife between sites, and the fact that the person who makes the code will have questionable claim to it as soon as it's stolen, so why work for it unless they, personally, want the code as well? This topic will be a dead horse until someone feels the need to put forth the effort, so quit beating it...it won't advance any faster than it is now.
