Vampire Hunter D... I would tell you what that whole story is like but... well I only seen one of it and not all was sure what is or was going on... All I know is this main charater a HUGE man...not huge as in 'fat' huge like well like The Undertaker of WWE (used to be WWF) and the main guy wears this hat...a cowboy hat just like the Undertaker did years ago... that is about all I know about it, seen it on and off one time abit, I was paying attention to something else at the time... it seems like an anime about The Old Looking Undertaker who goes around hunting vampires and such... Ummm, Lazy will have to explain it better...

As for my favorites, I like

(Yeah I know mostly 'girl' kiddie anime, but well...we girls like anime too...and even if targeted towards younger girls... I still enjoy and like the above)

Ahh well... I love anime, but I fond I am losing out on it alot now... gosh I mean after all, you want an anime series to keep going and going, but when it comes time to collect this anime... those DVD box sets are gahhhhhhhh killer!!! Cowboy bebop, and the F3 DVD box sets are rather expensive on up their in the $100.00 range to $200.00... and those are not that long of a series either... I'd hate to see a real long series in box sets...that is for a TRUE anime lover... and though I love anime ALOT... goodness, I just have other loves I rather have then each box set of every anime series out there...heh besides I am broke and I am getting meself several Resident Evil DVDs today...anime to games and really loved movies and stars ehh just has to take a back seat

Vampire Hunter D is awesome. As to not spoil the plot, I will say this.

Takes place in the very far future. But, as opposed to everything becoming more... futuristic, everything is more raw, more beastial. Werewolves run rampant, mist monsters eat the herds of cattle that the farmers raise. Vampires, though rare, are a powerful presence in the world.
Its a world of darkness. Its an time of fear. It was the age of Gargoyl.... wait, wrong show. Really though, the world is plunged into darkness. And one man has the courage, strength and will to face the darkest lords, the Vampires. He is D. And he is not quite human. He is a Dhampile, a son born of a mortal mother and a vampiric father. And when he becomes... emotionally attached to a girl who has trespassed onto the domain of a vampire, Count Magnus Lee, and was bitten, well, of course he must do everything he can to save her, right?

Overall, its not only a cult classic, it is a true classic as well. I give it a definite 10 out of 10, and you may too, if you are into the whole Vampire thing, like me. Even if you aren't, a definite worth-while choice...
Now to just get my hands on that sequel.....

I love Vampire Hunter D. Me and my brother caught it on cable one time. We were really into it cause it looked so much like Castlevania. So I recorded the movie next time it came on and it is a treasured VHS tape that I will never record over.
