kay, well now I need a FTP client yet again (after my system swipe/restore) And I need a good yet simple one, I went and downloaded AceFTP...and blahhhh that is such a pain in the butt!!!!

So anyone know another good one? And also the whole reasoning (somewhat today behind it all) is because to get my avatar changed. I removed the other, and I keep on putting in the url of mine, but this board will not accept them. (I am guessing because of the geocities thing and the whole image being a 'txt' in order to link off of the geocities site, and thus will not show nor accept that.) So thing is, I need a good simple FTP client, and also, if anyone knows of any 'good' free space for storage, that would be nice and needed also...space that will 'hotlink' here and still show, that type of thing geocities and all says no to these days. blahhh all this bother just for a small image....

EDIT: Well...it seems my avatar does show up? Well to me it does at least...but blahhh I used a board I go to now abit (because well they hack GC codes for AR) and swiped their board bandwidth sense they have an avatar upload anyway... err anyway, does it show just for me or can you all see it as well? (One of those cookie things, temp net files, anything stored is always shown til erased... and I do not erase cookies unless they are harmful) Anyway does it show?

And even if it does show, none the less sooner or later, I still, please shall need a 'good' FTP client, something like CuteFTP, I remember was good, I had, but heh I lost it and now it claims that is one of those things you have to 'buy' blahhh EDIT

I've got one that's not bad, and won't want you to pay for it, unless you let it update itself. It's a little old, but still works well. I'll pm you the link for it.

oh, and also www.uploadit.org is where i upload my images (it only accepts jpegs, and the images can't be huge, but the site is MADE for hotlinking . what i do for files that are not jpegs, i rename them to .jpeg! (see that animaged chibi seph in my sig? well it's runn of uploadit.org, but i fooled it

I know this is an old topic, but Mozilla's fire FTP is pretty good and open source to boot.

Firefox has FTP DL built in, and windows XP has a command line FTP.

Fireftp is a notable improvement over the built in ftp features, and it's fairly stable these days.
