    Default RE2 Code Request

Ok, I am not finding this in the PSX Code pages here and it is definately not on that *other* site. Can anyone hack an Analog code for RE2 ? I know RE2 Dual Shock can do it but not the origional RE2. So a code to make RE2 into RE2 Dual Shock, at least as far as making it capable of using the analog stick. Thanx!

P.S. You know, it'll be ironic, haven't gotten it yet, but the dude only says is the Origional version. My luck it'll be the origional *dual shock* version. But I don't know, so while I wait a week for the game to show up it'll give some hacking God a head start.

Hmm... Too bad I don't have a copy of RE2-non-dual-shock... Bleh, what am I saying, I've got other things I should hack first...

I'm kind of surprised nobody's already made a code for that... Then again... There's what, 3 people who could do it (CzarDragon, DarkSerge, and me... I'm probably forgetting somebody on that list though...) in asm (there IS a non-asm way, but you'd probably end up crashing the game if you moved around too fast...)

Somewhere, maybe even in an obvious place, I believe SolFire wrote a tutorial explaining how to make a non-asm analog code. Might be an idea if nobody around here gets around to it. For all I know, it'd work fine on RE2, unlike Xenogears (which would usually crash if you suddenly changed directions within about .25 of a second...) If I have any reason to, I can explain how to do the non-asm analog hack. Pretty much anybody with a gspro and a small ammount of information could make up one...

Yeah, but the reason for the double post was that it timed out while posting the post... So I figured what the hell, I'll edit something I worded strangely. If I had been using a computer, I would've removed the second one, but I wasn't (and am not at this moment), so copying the correct text from the second post, deleting it, and then inserting the text into the first post... Not worth the effort... And anyway, it's not like that one post is going to make a whole lot of difference in the free space the ubb has, or anything else for that matter... This post makes way more of a waste, as it's a continuation of being off topic, and doesn't really say a lot despite being a bit long...

Yeap, as the version I got is non Dual Shock so... The movment is odd anyways, at least for me. I am used to pressing the keypad or joystick in the direction I want to move, not having to turn left or right then forward. Oh well. But yeah, if someone could make the conversion code to make it dual shock analog stick enabled it'd be kewl. Thanx all!

    Default RE2 Code Request

Hey there, a friend of mine has the dual shock version of RE2, with both versions, I should have enough data to compare and find the bit of code used to make it duel shock enabled? If so, how do I do it? Or should I extract certain files from both for ya to do so? Thanks!

I'm not sure if that would help to compare the two versions. The usual way analog codes are made involves changing some useless code for handling the arcade stick, which as far as I know, not a single person has ever had... But, that's not very likely to be how the DS version does it's analog. But I'm just guessing. I'm going to try and fix my analog controller to see what I can find out about the DS version.
