My Save-State Hacking methods, and File2File program
The attachment has the FAQ, the File2File program, and the source to the program.
The method is simple in concept. Copy an existing effect to a save-state without said effect, and narrow down the addresses needed to activate the effect until you can find it easily with a file editor. In practice, it can be a bit complex for the first attempt.
The File2File program is able to generate the formulas to use to convert a ZSNES or Fusion address from one garnered from using the program.
I also hacked a code using the program, and recorded what I consider to be extensive details of the actions I took...quite possibly too detailed for most people.
The code I hacked was:
Kirby 3:
Always Have Invincibility:

Have fun with the documentation.
If you have any improvements to suggest, or even related ideas to contribute, don't hesitate to say something. I'm certain the document could be done better, but I felt the need to be realiztic, rather than idealistic. Mistakes happen, and it's not too big a deal when they do if the method is so quick, you're half-way done before you realize your mistake. The fact that I recorded my mistakes, as well as my solutions, isn't something I consider in need of repair.
Edit:
I updated the FAQ by corresponding with someone reading it. It should now be more suited to someone using a current OS, such as Security Risk 2000, or Security Risk XP.
I added the deleted zip file to the following page:

This reality is mine. Go hallucinate your own.
