has anyone seen this? its by gainax (the people who did the evangelion series). i just finished watching the first 4 episodes, and i am just in love with it.

its about this kid who has this relationship with his brothers (much older)girlfriend, after he moved to the states. one day they were walking home, and this other crazy bitch runs over him on a scooter, and then hits him in the head with a bass guitar... later it turns out his father hired her as a housemaid, and now he is stuck living with her. meanwhile robots and shit pop out of the main guys head and they fight. its fucked up, its wacky, i love it.

it has some awesome animation, a great sense of humor, and it has a totally rocking soundtrack by this japanese rock band called "the pillows"

now i just gotta find the last two episodes and ill be happy.

Yeah, FLCL is great. IMO it is also one of the few animes to have a really well done english dub.

FLCL contains references to a lot of anime, and even some american stuff like South Park.

It gets an official KE recommendation for anyone who likes the "....wtf?" genre of anime.

I saw the second episode a couple weeks ago on TV. Very weird, but in a good way. Maybe I'll track down somewhere to download all of it...

FLCL was the first full series that I bought on DVD.
I watched the whole series like almost a year before it showed on Cartoon Network, and I knew I had to buy it once it came out on DVD. I remember buying the first and second dvd's very close to eachother, and I had to wait another month or two for the 3rd to release.

The third one came with the box case to hold all three dvd's, a FLCL shotglass with Haruhara Haruko's face on it, a animegamers shotglass, and a "P!" sticker like the one on front of Haruhara Haruko's vespa.
Oh and dvd's 1 and 3 both have manga sections in the dvd's booklet, and all 3 of the dvd cases have reversable covers with alternate colors/artwork. Good stuff.

I know I'm too into it. :P

Currently there's a series called "Top Wo Nerae 2" or "Aim for the Top 2", (and some people call it Gunbuster 2), made by the same people, but only two eps are subbed as far as I know. It's pretty alright as far as I've seen, I'd like to see more though.
