Default Most of the time when i browse to thegshi...

I get a message saying "Serer Not Found"

I have exceptions in all of my firewalls and this was never a problem in the past.

P.S It even happened the first time i tried to post this.

The most likely suspect is your DNS servers. Though, this sort of thing has been mentioned a lot... I've never had any luck determining if the problem is this server or something else.

However I did personally run into the problem rarely. Hasn't happened once since I started using better DNS servers (in this case, Google's).

Sadly this is also only one of several seemingly ongoing strange problems people have had with GSHI.

when that happens to me I just random pick one of different domains

    Code:
    http://www.gshi.org/wiki/GSHI_Domains

This is a list of the domains GSHI owns (a total of 44, currently). If you're behind a restrictive proxy, just use another domain name ;)

That does further point at this being a DNS problem.

I've also had this problem on occasion while on different connections from home and work computer and even 3g via my phone. I have found that refreshing the page a few times usually brings the site up, however it is annoying to see the error message as it does not occur on any other sites i visit. I really don't think its a dns issue due to the multiple connections I've tried with the same results on each and this site having paid hosting. Hopefully it gets resolved soon as this is one of my regular places to visit.

This is a problem that I use to have 70% of the times I try to enter the gshi, so now I just enter by the IP directly because something happens with the DNS and this page: http://67.225.134.231/vb --> for the forum directly.

Thanks for the info, figured the dns would be ok since its paid hosting, guess everything that is paid for isn't perfect...

The DNS problem seems to be ISP-related rather than due to the host. Though it's also one of those things that's difficult at best to test. The IP for the site will at least stay put for the foreseeable future.
