Yeah, I've seen that. Hell, saw it on TV. It's too bad nobody's got a proper high quality rip of it... Oh, heh. That is a proper version... Too bad it's got that gamespot garbage overlayed on it...
Yeah...that's pretty cool, but it's unlikely anything will ever come of it. It'd be nice to even have a graphically updated version of FF7 for the PS3.
I may be lazy, but I can...zzzZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZ...
True, but they have been working on several FF7 games recently, so who knows...
Yes, seen that, and 'heard' well ALOT of talk going all around (rumors and all else you know) about Final fantasy 7 remakes, and all else for a good while now.
Being FF7 is the game that pretty much started the whole 'superbness' of RPGs on PSX system, I can see it being remade someday, maybe not all that far off even, my only true 'worry' about the thing is and would be 'what system' and again also, what 'cheat device' codes are made, I mean if all goes as Lazy plans, he will have pretty much PS3 codes 'covered', so no worries, there, but all these fan boys of 'Bill Gates' begging Mr. Gates to have FF7 'remake' on XBox2 or whatever it will be called and all else, a machine that looks good, yes, but a machine with no cheating ability or devices---give me a break please. (much reason why XBox in my own home a GREAT machine, yes but is at the bottom of the 'fun' meter thanks to well no codes. (we you all would know, and agree, I hope and believe heh)
Anyway, for sure, like Resident Evil is and was, I do know one day we will see FF7 remake. Just the questions of what machine it goes on, if only 'one' or them all or what, for sure, it will sale ALOT of whatever machine t goes on, as Resident Evil remake did for gameCube. (The ONLY reason I have truely or even care for GameCube is simple, Resident Evil...yeah some other ncie games and things, GBA player and mess, but if not for RE, I'd left all of the GameCube mess at the store.
Anyway on topic here again, soryr for going 'slightly' off, I do believe, and so much I believe this, heck, I KNOW we will see FF7 remake someday, maybe even soon (within two years or so?) Just again, my hopes and 'worries' is the codes and devices used with whatever it shall be on. Much again like 'codes' for RE 'remake' vs the original and Director's Cut of RE, some codes, we not seen 'made' yet.... like that knife rocket launcher weapon mod type code, and such other codes. and as many codes are for FF7, heck will be a big thing to remake all thsoe codes again on a whole new remade game and whole new system.
Otherwise again, I know it is comming, I saw and heard alot of 'big news' based on FF series for the next gen systems and such (mostly around PS3 ofcorse, heck even heard of talks on a TRUE FF Collection) I mean made for PS3. yet have 'all FF' titles on the collection. FF1 (remade from the GBA one not too many updates, all about money we know) to FF7 'remade' and title up to FF12 last I heard.
So, with hope that does come to be, but again my worries is well heh you all know me, it is on the codes, and hopeing and wishing that all codes shall be 'ported' as we call it. :P to have all things possible and 'more' that we had on the original titles.

I think the reason the RE and MGS games got remakes for gamecube was because Until that point the system had no ability to play those games. The problem with remaking FF7 and RE or MGS on PS2 or 3 is that people may not want to buy it cause they can just pop in the original game due to it's backwards compatibility. I've heard that is one reason it would not be remade for PS2 anyhow. But I would still love to have a FF7 remake, even if it was on another system. Well, I wouldnt buy a X-box for it but i could buy a nintendo system for it.
Yes, I see and understand those points, as is the whole game to the 'game makers' is always bottom line money. Which is understandible, just the ways of the world, sometimes, the money game proves good for us fans, like the Resident Evil remake on GameCube (waaaaaaaaaay better then it was on the PSX)
But still... Resident Evil is not even on GameCube what it was meant to be 'originaly', I mean well, you know the thing, our brains thinks up far greater things then we can really ever make and do. Not putting us 'people' down, just our nature as human beings, we think far bigger then we always get, in games, in life, in well everything pretty much. (Kinda like that car you always wanted and you finally get it then suddenly, it is not so great as you once thought it would be, like a roller coaster ride, or such, so greta it looks and you think from the ground, get on and yes is fun, but you think, well was alot more exciting 'before' in the 'thinking about it stage'. Again human nature we all do it, is after all what keeps us going, and on the human side of today's world, what in fact keeps us spending money for entertainment, because the entertainment we bought yesterday is not as exciting as it was before we got it.
(I am that way over games, game systems, and hell, movies, and 'p0rn' alot even heh) yes that game or p0rn I bought yesterday will enjoy for a good long time, and watch and play again, but as is 'life' makes us always want the next thing out there. :P )
Now as for Resident Evil, the it is and was meant to be a two player game, even way back on the PSX. We never quite saw that til these 'outbreak' file games. RE2 was also meant to be a two players, one was yes, one was menat to be Claire, the other 'Eliza' at the time. on the orginal one to be Jill, the other Chris. But never quite had the hardware to obtain the dreams of the RE creator.
Again same thing as I said human nature to always look for the best from ourselfs, and others. Not great, not good, the ultimate best. I know I do that alot in art, drawing, painting and such, I always after done, find faults with it myself, it is not exactly as good in my eyes as I saw it in my brain. Yes is good, people say it is great and wodnerful, I have won many many awards for my art (not bragging but I am not poor in it in no way) but in my own eyes, not 'exactly' what I pictured, you know so, that is with us all.
Otherwise as for remakes, I do feel very much that FF7 will be remade, on PS3 all feelings and hopes point to that, and FF7 IS a big money maker for Square, look at FF7 characters in their other games to sale them. FF Tactics had a Cloud. Kingdom Hearts had a whole host of FF characters, that Ergregz game (cannot spell the name, ehh but you know it) that fighter game had FF7 charatcers, and hell that game SUCKS, YET I bought it, and everyone bought it for the FF characters. So Square does know they have a money train with FF series, but know their money train of FF7 is and shall be there for a long time. So a remake of FF7 updated grapics and added material and such shall be made someday, I firmly believe. (added material as in well no telling what they would 'add' as Capcom added for that Resident Evil Remake, added those defence weapons, and whole new game almost. Square would add Vincent and Yuffie FINALLY in cut scenes and movies. (THAT did always dissapoint me, I must say, no Yuffie in movie files, or the cut scenes due to the game has really no record weather you got her and Vincent....)
But yes someday they will remake FF7, I do firmly believe, as is alot of other remakes out there. Not just resident Evil, look at well.... Metroid Zero Mission, F-Zero GP Legend (IS in fact a remake of the very first SNES F-Zero) Yes 'Nintendo trademarks there' but still, others do it alot too, look at all remakes, and otehrwise 'collection' type games. Even Silent Hill, look at Silent Hill 2, not 'really' a remake, but they did add 'extras' to the XBox version and the greatest hits PS2 version.
I just see and think and believe and I know I like it alot 'remakes' are doing very very well. They remake movies today, remake games, make game collections. I just see it really as good, yes a big money pot for the companies out there, but is the way of life, and with the way of life, heck, I think every idea under the sun has been used over and over and over again alot, so many they are running out of new ideas for games and movies and all else, so well, why not remake something and get more money? All great because as I said and feel, gosh remakes, most times are great.
Call me crazy also, but I also count any and all fighting games with a number at the end of it and even some with no numbers a 'remake' Look at ALL the Street Fighter 2's in the early 90's we all were nuts over. All the fighter's now, Soul Calibur 3 comming out soon, all a remake of all the others before it, I see it as. SNK's King Of Fighter's series sense gosh even before it was called King Of Fighters when it was called 'Fatal Fury' in 1991.... all remakes of same basic idea and after awhile same characters each year just looking 'better' and getting a few new 'tricks'. :P (By the way, I LOVE SNK fighters alot, and know alot about them, and yep, Fatal Fury 'contest' was and is called/named 'the King Of Fighters Tornement' they just swicthed 'names' in 1994 when they did that whole 'team' thing (You know introducing more playible characters and adding mroe stories, then just Terry, Andy and joe, and their dad and Geese.) Yes Fatal Fury 2 had more characters with more stories, but really, til the first King Of Fighter's it was a basic 'Terry Bogard Game' (same way Ryu is all abotu Capcom's fighters'---err well mostly, the SF types anyway)
Even Mortal Kombat#Ds they ahve now, I call remakes...why 'classic' characters, all characters, and such. so really to me most any figter game is always a remake, yes better, yes worht buying (at times) but indeed always in basic terms indeed a remake always.)
So in other words remakes are great, more remade movies, more remade games please, it brings back those old days, yet in a new ways and new excitment and all good stuff.![]()

LOL I just noticed helder did a topic about this a few days before I posted it..so I should of deleted it
If they do remake FF7 let's hope they hold back on the voice acting. Or if they decide to use voice actors they need to find some compident ones. Square blew it with FFX's voice actors.
Yeah, I remember that RE2 was gonna be a whole differnt game. It had one differnt character, and the levels were different. I think there was actually a prieview disc out there that had scenes from it.
The RE1Directors cut was a poor "remake" of RE. I heard the only thing changed was rumble capabilities. Although they were supposed to include unused cutscenes but never bothered putting them in.
