    Default xbox emulation

has anyone else tried this? what i mean is emulators than run ON the xbox not emus that run xbox games.

i just finished trying the n64 one, and lemme tell ya, its amazing what that fat ugly xbox can do. i was playin mario64 with full speed and sound on it.

it does snes, genesis and even mame all at 100% speed as well. the psx emulation is probably about 95% speed as well, and with a little luck they will get it working as well.

just thought id mention this, its pretty rad, if anyone cares

I never tried any emu's for it, cause I don't have or know anyone with a x-box. But I saw emu's for it coming from a mile away. With it's built in memory and stuff I thought it would happen. So does it give you a option to turn off the music and play your own?

I think some of them do, but not all of them.

most of them do, they are actually quite customizable, with filters and stuff just like pc emus. psx games actually LOOK better running on the xbox than they do on the ps2, its just that the speed isnt quite there.

i did just download an emu disk that has EVERY game for just about EVERY system up until the snes/genesis era. so ive got 4.29GB of old school goodness.

Yeah, emulators for xbox are nice. A friend of mine has a modded xbox, and about 15-20gb of roms on the HD. I still prefer pc emus, because of the level of customization, and the ability to easily manipulate things like save states... but xbox has been a big step forward for console based emus.

Also, playing media on xbox is nice, especially if you have networking set up properly. You can stream movies and stuff from your PC.
