Crystalis (NES) problem

Scroll down to the text Sabera is the second of Draygon's "finest four". It says to use Level 3 Fire Sword. It also says: Sabera will move around the screen and fire orange balls of energy at you. The balls of energy will do a decent amount of damage, but it's not really anything to worry about.

The only thing is, Sabera is just standing there. Nothing is happening. I've hit her with at least 9 of the blasts but nothing is happening. Anyone know whats wrong?

Nevermind, I was trying to attack the lady I was saving, who is across a dark gap. I was supposed to be attacking the first person.

Yeah, Sabera isn't really too tuff a boss. Just attack her aggressively fast as you can.
