The disc has to be in the drive to get the ELF name. I'm having the same problem with the cheats file though.
Sora969: Where are you running Artemis from? USB flash? Memory card? CD/DVD? Over ethernet from a PC via something like PS2Link?
Secondly, ensure the cheats.txt file is in the same directory as artemis.elf, and that you have a game disc in the PS2 when you initialize Artemis.

ps2link and ps2client are your friends to get detailed debug messages...
Lol I never appeared because it took so long. Anyway, I had an ESR patched disk in the drive at all times. Could that be the problem?
That is most likly the problem why the system.cnf can't be found... try the latest release version v0.5 with an original disc...Originally Posted by Sora969

(default is same as the elf) I sometimes get this problem if running it from a chinese clone mc I gave up on trying that and just use usb now...
