As is quite clear, misfire does not like the USB solution (heh). However, there are others who are working on in-game screen printing, and an in-game USB dumping solution has already been submitted (dumping to a flash drive; see the Artemis BountySource page).
This is not to say that USB dumps will be implemented in the next release. The primary component of this project is the remote debugger, which is, as misfire has mentioned, a much more powerful solution. That said, for those without an ethernet adapter, or without a computer that can be used for Artemis, the PS2-side hacking solution will be quite useful, and so it will be a 'side quest' of this project, to open up hacking for the masses.
Also,
Next Artemis release should have a MC/USB boot support, so you can hack codes and you don't need ethernet adaptor, even thought usb it is slower than ethernet.
Artemis already has MC/USB boot support. You can boot it from pretty much anything. Dumps, however, are network only (and, as mentioned earlier, you can dump to USB flash with USBD, but you won't be able to perform searches unless you bring your flash drive back to a PC and perform comparisons using a 3rd party compare app of some sort).
I may be lazy, but I can...zzzZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZ...
