    Default "Hey, Persona!"

Nice place you got here, fellas.

Saw the site, checked the codes out. It would seem one Liquid Man Zero once had two pages of Persona codes here, but the links no longer work. I'd like to see them, does anyone still have 'em?

On a related note, does anyone have the Snow Queen quest gameshark code? I used to have the old "walk through any door" code that was posted on PersonaFan's board WAY back, but that one seems to have replaced by another code that requires you to only enter "Room 1-6". Sadly, this code never worked for me.

Any help? LMZ, you seem to be a Persona fan AND still hang around here, could you lend me a hand?

I want to fight Toro again. o.o

I'm still around, and still hacking persona a bit here and there (well, trying to...). Gah, there's yet another thing that needs to be fixed on the site.

Psx: I've been trying to do some sort of code with that effect, but I've had no luck. Think you might be able to post any related codes you've found?

Oh heck, I thought I had stumbled onto a dead board, I checked for replies for several days. Nice to know there's still people here.

As for codes... this was posted on GameFAQs Persona messageboard:

    Start Snow Queen Quest
    D01F5350 028E
    801F5350 0029

Activate the code in the infirmary after taking Mary's mom there (this is after the demons first invade the town). Then go into room 1-6.

From the posts that followed, the code SHOULD work. But it doesn't seem to have any affect for those who use emulators to play Persona (like me).

Thing is, there was another code (i.e. the old code) that allowed something similar, but it worked anytime you switched screens between doors. This is the one I've been seeking, as it's worked for me before. Sadly, it's nowhere to be found.

In any case, there's the code. Hope you find it useful.

An alternate storyline that was available in the japanese version of Persona, but left out of the US translation. Well, left out isn't the right term... it's still there, just not accessible by normal means due to certain 'flags' (that would trigger the quest) being deleted by Atlus USA.

It involved Ms. Smith being turned into a demon by a magical mask, which led to the Persona kids being trapped within their own school by the Snow Queen. The quest, therefore, is to meet the Queen's challenge by dungeon-crawling through four Towers. Only then could they save Ms. Smith and everyone within the St. Hermelin building (did you ever venture back to the school in the normal storyline and find it missing, and treated to an eerie movie of the school surrounded by four pillars? Now you know why that is...).

The quest itself was dangerously difficult. The Towers were massive mazes, and the enemies ruthless (more so in the jap. version). To top it all off, you could only (properly) save in the school, saving at Augustus Trees in the towers were one-time saves that deleted themselves after reloading.

So why play it? Because it's so FREAKY. Mary and Guido appear in blank, slate-like masks, Toro (a.k.a. Chunky) attacks your party with a rather... disturbing Persona transformation, and then later, in one of the towers, he and zombie-face boy Kain can be seen being tortured in a room in one of the Towers.

Kain = forced to do push-ups over a bed of spikes
Chunky = strapped to a table and force-fed milk from a cow head bust overhead, his belly bloated beyond belief.

Plus, you get to have Yuki in your party as much as you please. What's not to like?

    ...

Oh yeah. The script is mostly un-translated (shakes fist at Atlus USA) save for a rare video of Philemon and menus, monsters and Personas keeping their english titles.

So the only thing you'll be missing out by playing the quest is the naunces of the story.

    Any more questions?

Seems all that was changed was the 8 to a 3.

Hmm... That looks suspiciously like a seemingly failed room modifier code I have written down. That's probably a good thing, as it means I was right in what about the kind of code involved. I'm going to try this out, and see if I can't do something about it not working.

Well... it DOES work (according to others). Just not for me, seeing as how I use an emulator.

Room modifier... yes, that sounds like something worth looking in to. Basically, jumping to certain scenes/events by passing through any ol' doorway. Yeah, that must be how the old code was made to be. This one too, I'd wager.
