Found that NES codes can be now made using FCE Ultra, kinda kewl, get the PAR experience with out being a PAR for my NES. I need a couple of codes for some games.

    No Random Battles code for Dragon Warrior 1 - 4 and FF1, FF2j, FF3j

Have had little luck hacking the codes, usually, in Dragon Warrior series, mess up the world map severly. But in Dragon Warrior they made Repel so worthless its not laughable. Walk into a dungeon and get jumped every few steps. Annoying as heck.

Legend of Zelda - Health (Heart) codes.

Again, no luck, seems no similarties between the NES Zelda and the SNES Zelda. The SNES Zelda it was 4 points per half heart, or 8 total points per heart. And a less than search is proving fruitless, and for a hacker like myself this is mind boggling I can't get something so simple.

So if someone could hack these I'd be appreciated. Thanx!

Well, forget the Zelda health codes, figure that out finally, and boy is it wierd. Based on the number 17, each 17 numbers up you gain one whole heart (0x11) and a second address to control weather or not the last heart is whole or half. So now to figure out the No Random Battles codes. Which so far for me no luck. :P But I'll keep trying. Thanx all!

Guess I'm probably late in reply but I thought I'd suggest FCEUXD rather than The old FCEU. That's what I use. It gots extra features on it.

    Final Fantasy 1:
OOTPVP Use this code to repel enemies. The game will still try to
    enter battles, but instead of your characters having to fight;
they return to the world map and are able to continue walking

I may give the PAR codes for NES a shot.

    Note:
For Nesticle Save-State addresses beyond 8192, and before 73727, you can subtract 8192 to get a memory address for FCE, I'm quite sure. The only thing I'm not certain of is the upper boundry.

If you use a utility to copy a portion of 1 save state's data to the same portion of another save-state's data, you can do wonderous things with relative ease, as long as you can make them happen in the game. Finding battle counters is far easier with this method. Any changing value of any type can be found with this method, even if it only confirms that it's more trouble than it's worth to do anything with it.

I decided to make my own util with VB6 to do this quite recently, but there are some better-built utilities with this feature.

    Save-State Cracker is one:

I'm glad you asked first. The code isn't mine, and I had forgotten that GGCCC didn't know who's code it was either. I just happened to use it at one time and remembered it existed.

Since it is a code I like, I debugged it a bit, since the original can cause you to be unable to get past the level below the vampire's room.

I confirmed that the modification fixes the code's only known problem. I don't know how a modification to an existing code with an unknown author should be listed, so I leave the hard part up to you.

    Instantly End Battles (GG: OOVPVOEZ)
    Address: 99E6
    Value: 145
    Compare: 168

A modification that had an unexpected result:
Instantly End Battles + See Game Ending when you talk to Garland (GG: LNVPVOEZ)
    Address: 99E6
    Value: 115
    Compare: 168
This reality is mine. Go hallucinate your own.

You should note that this is basically a full-game spoiler list of stuff that needs to get done with what item, and things that need to be done at what place. Even with all of this data, and having beaten the game once before, I still needed a FAQ again.

    No Random Battles (Overworld)
    GG: SAKGPIEP

    No Random Battles (Caves)
    GG: XGVKNNEY

    Enemy 1 No Health: 7E44 0, 7E45 0
    Enemy 2 No Health: 7E74 0, 7E75 0
    Enemy 3 No Health: 7EA4 0, 7EA5 0
    Enemy 4 No Health: 7ED4 0, 7ED5 0
    Enemy 5 No Health: 7F04 0, 7F05 0
    Enemy 6 No Health: 7F34 0, 7F35 0
    Enemy 7 No Health: 7F64 0, 7F65 0
    Enemy 8 No Health: 7F94 0, 7F95 0

    Infinite Gold
    601E 97

    Position on Map modifier:
    0027 ??
    0028 ??

Put Value 1 in 0027, Value 2 in 0028. Enable both, resume the game, disable both, then enter and exit the start menu in the game. You'll be at the location listed. If there are any errors, you can always warp to some other area.

    Coordinates List
Note: To refresh the screen and undo the graphic glitches,
go into the menu with "Start" and exit back to the overworld.

    Edit:
Managed to forget to adjust all first codes in Cur. and Max. HP and MP.

I stayed up to late doing these. Changed 'C' to '6' in all character codes.

    -

    Added No Enemy Health codes

    -

Seriously revised Character code values, as I was getting killed easily with the values from the old ones, and not doing enough damage quickly enough to escape with a win. FCE also limits how many of it's own codes it will use, without informing the user of this.

Confirmed No Random Battles (Caves) code works all the way to the end of the game.

    -

Converted codes to FCEUXD-compatible versions. Removed the info from the GG codes, since FCEUXD doesn't have support to use correct 8-letter game-genie codes.
This reality is mine. Go hallucinate your own.
