    Default Question Of The Week

    Asked by phoenix064

In response to a previous question I had, a link for the Codemasters Project website was posted. In the section on code guides, there are 4 tutorials titled:

    Y-Fix
    Y-Fix 2
    X-Fix
    XY Fix

The posts explain how to find and use the codes - I've read through all four posts but I still don't know...

What is an Y fix and a X fix ?

Unless they've gone and screwed up the jargon, they're codes to fix the vertical and/or horizontal position on a game, such as when playing an NTSC game in PAL mode.

X would be horizontal, and Y would be vertical.

Indeed, or to correct for something funny a modchip is doing (with x or y-positioning).
