Default Some Final Fantasy II (SNES) codes...

OK, first off...there were a few codes in my SNES page for FFII that, for some reason, had eight-digit addresses...so I figured out which two per were Bizarro-relevent (heh), and they're fixed now. So, retroactively, Whoops.

    Anyway, here's some new stuff...

    Fifth Character RHand Equipped
    7E10B3 ??

    Fifth Character LHand Equipped
    7E10B5 ??

    Fifth Character Head Equipped
    7E10B0 ??

    Fifth Character Body Equipped
    7E10B1 ??

    Fifth Character Arms Equipped
    7E10B2 ??

Just set a character in the fifth (bottom) slot in your menu, and mod his/her equipment to one of these...then you can either rotate in another character, or deactivate the code, unequip your new piece, and give it to whomever you please...or leave it in the menu, whatever. A note: these values were found using the Fifth Character Arms Equipped code, so if I give defense/magic defense values, keep in mind where I have them equipped.

Default Some Final Fantasy II (SNES) codes...

    Slot 1 Character Mod - 7E1040 ??
This modifies what character is in slot 1 (Cecil, Kain, Rosa, etc). The effects are non-graphical only, and include in-battle abilities. Here are the possible values, for all five slots:

    00 - Nobody
    01 - Cecil
    02 - Kain
    03 - Rydia (young, I'm guessing)
    04 - Tellah (1st time, and again I'm guessing)
    05 - Edward
    06 - Rosa
    07 - Yang
    08 - Palom
    09 - Porom
    0A - Tellah, (2nd time?)
    0B - Cecil (Paladin?)
    0C - Tellah (?)
    0D - Yang (2nd time?)
    0E - Cid
    0F - Kain (2nd time?)
    10 - Rosa (2nd time?)
    11 - Rydia (2nd time?)
    12 - Edge
    13 - FuSoYa
    14 - Kain (3rd time?)
    15 - Golbez
    16 - Anna

FF - Bleh; a few interesting ones could be hidden in there, but it seems they're all scrambled gibberish and status conditions.

    7E1041 ?? - Slot 1 Job Mod

This code modifies what type of character the character in slot 1 is (for example, Dark Knight or Wizard). The effects are graphical only, to include character graphics (in battle and out), menu picture, and text. Coupled with the corresponding character mod, this code gives you full control of who your characters are.
You'll most likely have to change screens (enter/exit the menu, change rooms, etc) once to set the code into action, but it's well worth it.

Here're some digits I wasn't too lazy to find (these work with all five slots):

    00 - DKnight
    01 - Dragoon
    02 - Caller (young)
    03 - Sage
    04 - Bard
    05 - Wh.Wiz (Rosa)
    06 - Karate
    07 - Bl.Wiz (Twin)
    08 - Wh.Wiz (Twin)
    09 - Paladin
    0A - Chief
    0B - Caller (grown)
    0C - Ninja
    0D - Lunar
0E - FightIt (Midget on map and in towns, green pig with weapons abilities in battle)
0F - em Whit (toad on map and in towns, Golbez with weapons abilities in battle)
10 - DKnight (Pig on map and in towns, deformed Anna with weapons abilities in battle)
11 - Dragoon (Townsperson on map and in towns, glowing Kain in battle)
15 - Wh.Wiz (shopkeeper on map and in towns, square blob in battle)
1C - Ninja (Lady on map and in towns, red square in battle)
1E - (Lugae on map and in towns, square blob in battle)

    7E10C0 ?? - Slot 2
    7E10C1 ??

    7E1000 ?? - Slot 3
    7E1001 ??

    7E1100 ?? - Slot 4
    7E1101 ??

    7E1080 ?? - Slot 5
    7E1081 ??

Below, if I refer to small/large/huge, I'm talking about size of increment...for small, 1 unit in memory equals 1 in the game; for large, 1 unit in memory equals 256 in the game; for huge, 1 unit in memory equals 65536 in the game. Some combination of these make up whatever the current number in the game is, for the variable in question. So if you have 257 max HP, in the memory there is a value of 1 at the address that dictates large increments, and a value of 1 in the address that dictates small ones; 256 + 1 = 257.

If you'd like max HP/MP stats to stick after you turn codes off, just mod the maxes for one slot, use Form, place a character in that slot, take him/her out of the slot, and turn the code off, and repeat with the rest of your characters, if you like; the effects are permanent. Turning the code off while they remain in the modded slot will reverse the effects of the code.

After modding levels, I've come to the conclusion that all a character's level affects is how much experience is required for the next level gain...so the amount of max HP, and the amount incremented at the next level gain, stand alone somewhere else, but whether seperate or together, I'm not sure. Also, experience to next level gain seems to behave abnormally...it can't be searched for, even below hex values of 255, by less than/greater than searches in either direction, let alone by known values searches. Increments must be different than usual; otherwise I have no idea how that whole situation is even possible...but bleh, I'm mentally tired, and I could just be missing something simple...I'll look at it tomorrow, probably.

    Large/Small values for 9999 = 27/0F, respectively.

    7E1077 ?? - 1st Slot Experience (small)
    7E1078 ?? - 1st Slot Experience (large)
    7E1079 ?? - 1st Slot Experience (huge)

    7E10F7 ?? - 2nd Slot Experience (small)
    7E10F8 ?? - 2nd Slot Experience (large)
    7E10F9 ?? - 3rd Slot Experience (huge)

    7E1037 ?? - 3rd Slot Experience (small)
    7E1038 ?? - 3rd Slot Experience (large)
    7E1039 ?? - 3rd Slot Experience (huge)

    7E1137 ?? - 4th Slot Experience (small)
    7E1138 ?? - 4th Slot Experience (large)

    7E10B8 ?? - 5th Slot Experience (large)
    7E10B9 ?? - 5th Slot Experience (huge)

These're kind of useless until I find the addresses for some other things, unless you'd like to mathematically solve for what's required to reach a value of 1 Experience to next level gain, repeatedly, and gain levels that way, heh. But bleh, just battle the five Pink Puffs instead, heh. I'll work on a level mod that has the desired effects sooner or later.

    7E16A0 ?? - GP (small)
    7E16A1 ?? - GP (large)
    7E16A2 ?? - GP (huge)

    For straight nines (9999999), small/large/huge = 7F/96/98

Default Some Final Fantasy II (SNES) codes...

I never really played Final Fantasy 2 But that name Fusoya caught me off guard. There's some dude I always see at the acclm hack board that uses that name. I guess I know where he got it from now.
