    Default Macafee Problem

Why is it that my Macafee continually tells me that this site has been yellow taged.

Here is the link to their "synopsis" of the site.

I really ought to see if I can clean that file... But, it does mention being infected in the description.

The issue is no more! The site is all Green in McAfee's eyes. Great job on the ArtMoney program!

It probably freaks out on anything that uses packed executables. I know Opera at least used to, and mIRC might do it...

It doesnt like some PUPi EXE. I had something like this with that KOOLBAR thing. God i hated that and i still cannot get rid of it from the Remove Programs pannel of my OS even though i deleted all traces of it from my hard drive and rewrote over the sectors that it took over on my HD.

I'm sure that just means it's got a bad method of detecting things. That's one major issue with all current antivirus programs. They sometimes have false positives, due to using bad (or just incomplete) methods to see if anything is a virus or not. And no single antivirus system can find everything...

Antiviruses also dont play well with each other. I have a second Antivirus on my computer (Non active) called Stinger. Macafee wanted me to remove it and AdAware to update my contract (which ends in december ). What is stupid is that Stinger IS a MacAfee program. Damnit it should work well with the main antivirus. I will not be paying the 49 dollars plus tax to renew my subscription to this behemouth of a antivirus. I will pay for the firewall but not the antivirus.

Does anybody know of an ACTIVE firewall that also checks the interactions between programs. I belive my WIN Media player is searching for confidential information or doing Data mining and talking to another program that sends the information out when i connect to the web.

    Or am i just Paranoid?
