Some Site Layouts

I've been thinking if a good layout can be come up with, I'll use it on the site. So far, this is what I've got:

Normal Boxes (blue/grey)

Darker version


Angled Boxes (blue/grey)

All of the colors can be changed. Other borders could be easily made for it.

I'm aware that the second one is twice as large as the first. Neither is any bigger than what's already being used though.

For the Angled boxes v. I think it would look better if the page bg was black, or if the angled corners were transparent, cause those black corners stick out a bit.

And this is why trying to make a layout sucks. No matter what it is, short of just text, some browser isn't going to work right. At least I think the problem is fairly small, mostly to do with png support.

I'm aware that the gif images were crapified a bit, seems paint has a limited pallet...

The png version looks much better than the gif version, but thats prolly cause png outranks gif in quality.

You've given me an idea for my own site's layout. To use a corner thats like / then a square corner then another square then a /

Heh, I figured out that I must've swiped the idea from Phantasy Star Online without realizing it.

I've dubbed the theme blitz, cause It reminds me of blitzball.

I think I'm slowly warming up to blitzball.
