    Default Final Fantasy VII Request...

I'm not so much wanting somebody to hack this code, but to find it, as I know it already exists...

    Walk Anywhere (World Map)

I used to have this code in my GS, but that was rather awhile ago. I just spent more than an hour searching for it, and found nothing...

    I already tried:
    GSHI (Of course...)
    GSCCC
    Google...

I believe the code was about 6 lines long, and was somewhere around 8006xxxx, but I may be wrong.

:? Would and is an interested code, I know I would like to use it, problem is, I never seen it posted anywhere before. :?

But I went looking for it, not sure I found much of anything that would help, I looked over at GSCentrual...and blahhh that place is and always has been a mess, full of rude admins and such but in any case, I checked the FF7 page. (when it finally came up, shame it seems that site goes down 6 out of 7 days...anyway)

The best I could come up with from looking on their pages is this.

Ice Skate Mode And Walk Anywhere On World Map Cloud (World Map) 8010A4C4 F33B

Not exactly what we are looking for, but is the closest thing I could find on their millions and millions of I shall say somewhat useless codes. (But NYPD has to show off with his teafth abilities I guess.) Anyway that is what I found there, there was a whole other page #2 to 'miss codes' but for some odd reason the admins always fall asleep when editing that site and page #2 goes to page #1 always. In any case, I know GSCentrual is not the best place for well anything, But they did have that one code which may prove useful, I hope.

Not only is that not the code I remember, but it's not even a code... I just tried it, and the game instantly crashed... Oh well, it was worth a try, and I never would have thought to look at that site. So, thanks finding that, even though it turned out to be less than useless.

ahhhh....sorry about that LMZ. I really did not think of that as being a problem code, but when I do think about it now, where that code came from, I sadly can see that happening---alot. (We are talking abou GSCentural after all, a large site as far as codes, but being the codes are 80% stolen, and posted without warnings, nor even anytype of testing...blahh well is sad, but seems to be the way 'some gs sites are'.

Anyway, sorry about that all... wish I knew where that code may be posted at, but other then that 'tefth site just mentioned' and GSCCC.com which is as well, I can hardly trust with all codes going 'converted' to that piece of crap PS1-CB that place sooner or alter too will cease to be of any libary to those of us with 'GS' of any sort really. Those two sites and this one here is only GS sites that are still active I know of....

Anyway, I am sorry I was no help. I should have known better dealing with tha GSCentural site... so many times codes listed there have either been stolen (and do not work because of wrong converting in a way to hide their thieviery) I have even tried new next gen system codes from there that do not work... so blahhh anyway sorry site that is, anyway and otherwise, I am sorry that nothing of that code worked out good at all. ops:

Hmm...now I really wish I had a PSX and a GSPro; I could use what I did in the Ultimate Weapon Project to rehack that easily...

Well, some good did come out of that NYPD code... I was bored, and started poking around that area of the memory, and managed to find some stuff. I'll just post some of it here, as I don't really care to bother with making a new topic.

All of these are world map specific.

    Graphics Scrambler
    D00C84C8 ????
    800D75F0 00B4
    D00C84C8 ????
    800D75F0 00C4
The first two lines trigger the scrambling, and the last two stop it. The D0 lines are just the normal world map joker... If you leave it on too long it'll probably crash the game. The only real problem with this is you won't be able to read any text after using it... Even after soft resetting the game.

Yeah, I know, I found a graphics scrambling code after looking around near the location of an NYPD code...

    Spin modifier
    800E561C ????
If this is > than 0, things spin... 2000 is a interesting setting, as both the character and the background spin rapidly, but the ground itself doesn't. Goes well with the graphics scrambler...

    Some random camera variables:
    Vertical height
    800E55F0 ????
    Horizontal rotation
    800E5608 ????
    Vertical angle
    800E5610 ????
    Zoom
    800E5614 ????
A different vertical angle, changes center position
    800E564C ????

    And that's it...

That's cool. I wish someone would gather all the known addresses for FF7...with everything ever done, we could probably pretty much map out the RAM at several given moments...and find the few things we haven't yet by process of elimination.

I seriously intend to try doing something like that, once I've got a computer... But I'm not sure when that'll be...

Hah, I finally found a paper with the code written down on it.

Walk Anywhere On World Map (L2 - On, R2 - Off)
    D00C84C8 0002
    8010A5A4 0001
    D00C84C8 0001
    8010A5A4 07D0

This probably should go up on the site, but not under my name, seeing as I didn't hack it.
