Default A little late, but here's to Lee Walczak...

Lee M. Walczak, 19, of Allenton, Wisconsin died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 due to injuries suffered in an auto accident.

He was born on Feb. 28, 1985 in Denver, Colo. to Michael and Jeanne (nee McGrath) Walczak, and graduated from Slinger High School in 2003.

After high school he joined the U.S. Army Reserves and was a heavy equipment operator with the 961st HSC Engineering Battalion.

Lee enjoyed Tae Kwon Do and had earned a black belt. He also enjoyed music and spending time with his friends.

Survivors include his parents, Michael and Jeanne Walczak of Allenton; two brothers, Matt of Winter Springs, Fla. and Ben of Philadelphia, Pa.; his maternal grandmother, Ruth McGrath of Watertown, N.Y.; his paternal grandfather, Richard Walczak of Slinger; three aunts, Karen Wald of Slinger, Janet Unke of St. Francis, and Ellen (David) Jeffers of Three Mile Bay, N.Y.; four uncles, Jon (Lisa) Walczak of Kewaskum, Douglas Walczak of Red Granite, Robert McGrath of San Francisco, Calif., and David McGrath of Alexandria, Va.; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kingsley McGrath, and his paternal grandmother, Betty Walczak.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 1 at 1:30 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service, West Bend, with Lee's uncle, Rev. Robert McGrath, officiating.

Visitation at the funeral home will be on Sunday from noon until the time of services. Cremation will follow the services.

    -----------------------------------------

Apparently, he was driving to a friend's house in the morning, and he rolled through a stop sign and was hit by a semi-truck.

I don't know all the details, but it's a damn shame...I don't think I speak only for myself when I say I hate to think of you as gone, Walczak.

You were an active member of the GSHI microcosm, and a decent human being. Though I didn't know you much better than to simply know those words to be true, I hope you rest in peace. Take it easy, man.

Lee, was such a nice person... a shame to know he has gone on, I wish and know he will have the best and be happy in the afterlife however. I shall still miss him however.... Be well Lee....

(I am sorry not really good at these type of things and seems abit of bad luck is effecting us all abit at times here, such as Lee, and Lazy's recent medical issues, I just wish us all the best in whenever and whereever life takes us, even until the next life, be well Lee. )
