    Default The new layout

The new page at http://www.thegshi.org/ does not look good and you can make the dropdown appear for the codes but you cannot click on them as when you try to the misc drop down appears instead. Personaly, I like the old one much better. You should drag the misc. over.

That problem seems to have been resolved; the layout looks kind of cool now, but could probably use a little more work...

hm,you could add two styles and if you choose style X,it will be saved as a cookie or sth like that.i think, the idea is not so bad.i like the old design too.

    Thumbs up

Insight: If you click User CP on the main page, there's a few styles. You'll have to login to the main page first, of course (it uses the same username/password as the forums)

As far as the new layout goes, the only change that I would make (visually), is to add a 1 or 2 pixel buffer between the drop-down menu and the login boxes.

The only other thing I can suggest is making the menus open when clicked on, rather than hovered on, only because it seems a bit too touchy, and if I hover over it on accident I get a menu covering the screen.

Apart from that, I like it. :thumbsup; to LMZ.

Logging into the site isn't going to work unless you were registered before we switched to the vB. If you were registered then, you'll have to use whatever password you had at the time...

I haven't been able to find any sane ways of using the vBulletin authentication stuff yet...

As for making the menus only open when clicked on... I don't know javascript, so unless somebody comes along who knows how to add such a feature without rewriting the entire menu coding it's not going to happen. I do agree that it's rather touchy about just suddenly opening and closing...

BTW, dunno if ace relayed the msg to you..

But the font I used is bank gothic medium BT, and it's on both of my work PCs and my Home PC, so I'm guessing it's installed with MS Office.

My little brother's PC doesn't have MS office, so I'll see if he has the font. (When I created the image, I wasn't looking at the name, just for something that 'fit' with the original dark theme)

Office is installed on here, but that font isn't around aparently.

It seems having an option to change the layout without being logged in is really uncooperative for some reason. I'm not willing to mess with it right now, it's just too annoying.

    Ah. hmm..

Wonder what else would install that font?

Which version of office do you have? I have 2003 on all my computers, but I've seen that font in earlier versions as well, I think even back to 2000.

It seems like it may come with the autodesk dwf viewer or AutoCAD, but I don't believe I have that installed on my other work machine, and I know I don't have it at home. Hmm.

I think you should forget about the usres and stuff on the main page, just let people save their options with cookies or something. So they don't have to log in. The new style looks nice tho, In IE that drop down for the final option goes offscreen tho, that should be adjusted.
