For some reason the first thing that comes to minde is northern lights.

I was kind of thinking the same thing myself. Some of the variations I had while working on it were quite a bit more like that though... Mostly from being darker in places.

that's 8) ! Northern lights, haven't those for some time now. Not even in winter. Prolly when I wasn't looking outside. I know they come out during the winter months or fall season.
