Default GameCube Hacking??? Programs and a GameCube needed?

hmmm just wondering if it is possible to get the 'next gen' hacking going by more then just the PS2 (if ever it even takes off, being well...it is and has been rather slow and dead but anyway)

Anyway, if you have a GameCube. (I mean I am thinking you sorta need a GC and the game in question err or a 'version' of that game we do not much talk about here. Anyway I am guessing you may need that first? (Not sure, I am no hacker other with the old little GSPro and then only known values) anyway on with this.

I understand this program is the code thingie needed.:

And the following 'borrowed' (quoted) from the ARC boards/forums where GC hacking pretty much started (other then datel ofcorse) (And being this is not 'codes' I do believe and hope is okay to pass on here.)

    7) Decrypt codes for the game that you want.

    9) Encrypt your guessed areas.
    10) Pray.

This is just my opinion, but finding any codes is difficult for GCN games.
You cant just guess and address and it will do something nice, 80% of the time it wont.

You can spend hours or even days searching for codes, and not find anything.
So having patience, and not giving up are 2 things I would add to this.
But again thats just my opinion on this stuff.
That is pretty much it, so just wonderign and hopeing others can also jump onto the GC wagon, yes it is AR...not 'code breaker' but that is the only thing for GameCube. I also understand not many of us own a GameCube... but here's abit to hopeing anyway, it is a rather nice machine, abit 'kiddie' in some games, yet abit more mature in others. Heck my own opinion, GameCube is abit better anyway, yes for certain games and certain 'franchise mascot titles'---Metroid anyone? Anyway it is a hope...ehh well anyway geeez something more has got to pull us out of this slump, I am not hacker, maybe asking for codes and type of codes helps? (Maybe not, but it'll help my gamming fun err you know)

Cool. Now I understand a bit better why it took awhile for someone to crack the encryption. Too bad I don't have a gc (or any next-gen system, for that matter)...

Heh, yeah, it's funny how almost none of us moved on to the next-gen systems...I think it was largely due to two things: lack of money, and lack of motivation due to no hacking devices, heheh.

Yes, in fact those are the two main reasons I haven't got anything newer than a few old playstations.

I have the nex-gen systems but I do understand, and I am not bragging about having the systems, heck I want us all to have them and hacking devices so that maybe hacking for the next gen with take off, before the so-called next-gen systems become the 'has-been systems' (with the whole next-next-gen systems, PS3, YBox...err whatever they are called)

Where's here's to hopeing that someday it does really take off, so I posted some, I would think and hope helpful info to hacking the GameCube.

Also I will say and use this place here to say a few things about the whole issue of Lazy making this place into a business with it's own brand of cheat devices and such, as I have read... well all I wish to say is I would like that, and have hope for it, I am no hacker at all other then with GSPro code generator known values only, and even still with the VHS video that came with the GSPro---heh I bet that video is classic hard to find stuff now. But anyway all I wish to say is once the place does become a business, let's hack the good codes now. (Blahhh heh I am now just mostly nit-picking on datel and GSCCC.com abit) as well... it seems now none of them ever really totaly 'hack' a game as games were done in the good old days when the Game Shark was around for the PSX and it spawned whole colonies of hackers...a time when there was almost no code never hacked. I mean it was the 'strength' in numbers, as CMX is just one person and datel only has like 2 to 4 true hackers... but here's to hopeing that once thigns really do take off, we do not 'half -ass' games as the others do at times---example Datel GameCube AR and Sonic Collection, codes for Sonic 1, 2, and 3, yet nothing else ever...and we know detal, anything overlooked long enough becomes past and they always look ahead. Strange thing about looking ahead, yes it is good, but it is better to look 'all around' for looking ahead, you never see who you run over.----using abit of a 'car motifth' but sorta is that way, so well as long as this place becomming a busniness does not become too much 'datel-like' or GSCCC.com-like I see all is good.

Yeah, here's to it. We won't fall into the time-constraint pit of everyone else's probs and just hack cheat codes, and if we do, we'll have a large enough group of amateur hackers to cover the other stuff, much like GSCCC and GS.com during ye olde days.

i actually hacked a couple gamecube codes for the resident Evil series (they are at codes.ssbm.org i think is now arcentral.net ? )

    and Zoids
you can open the file in IDA and set the processor to ppc. and you can look through the strings, that how ui made sudeen death for the zoids, and infinite time
