I dabble in code and hacking (mostly when I need a specific ingame code ^^")
And using Desmume emulator, I finally got my hand on Infinite Jump for Dawn of Sorrow (EU)
And I thought it could be useful to share (the only equivalent I've seen is moon jump and it sucks because if you use it, you can't go through the thin platforms anymore)

But I have no idea how to convert it to Action Replay or if it's even possible?

So if anyone knows, here is the code
Address: 0x02 0CD30A
Value: 2
It's a 1 byte (when I used Desmume search function)

So if there is a tutorial so I can learn how to do it, or if someone wants to do it...
Or people with the emulator want to use this as is *shrug*

Have a nice day! ]]>

In this thread i will... So those of us who run Linux exclusively are not left out when it comes to being able to scan memory addresses and edit them. In this thread i will post videos showing how to use a few of the tools that act like Cheat Engine, except on linux.

And no, Cheat Engine will not compile on linux let alone Mac anymore. I have tried.

Enjoy this intro video.

A few shout outs.

First and foremost, Thank you Hybrid. Without your tutorial on how to use the training tool on the Gameboy Color Gameshark i would not have the skills to do this video. ]]>

Gecko Code Crashes on Wii http://gamehacking.org/vb/threads/17189-Gecko-Code-Crashes-on-Wii?goto=newpost Fri, 04 Aug 2017 17:09:23 GMT So I'm trying to make a code for Super Mario Galaxy that saves/loads Mario's position, and it works fine on emulator, but when I try it on Wii it just crashes. The line that causes it is this: 4C000000 80001804, but it seems that any code I use that starts with 4C crashes on Wii. Does anyone know why this is? ]]> School of Hacking MutantsAbyss http://gamehacking.org/vb/threads/17189-Gecko-Code-Crashes-on-Wii <![CDATA[[PS3] Eboot Cheat Help]]> http://gamehacking.org/vb/threads/17178-PS3-Eboot-Cheat-Help?goto=newpost Wed, 02 Aug 2017 02:41:13 GMT So I'm trying to make an eboot for the following game: BCUS99144 (God Of War Ascension) (Patch 1.12) and having zero luck getting the codes to work. I'm on Rebug 4.81 (CEX)

I've been using the guide http://gamehacking.org/vb/threads/87...Maker-Released to add the following code for Infinite Health:
Quote:

0062D040 6C656400
0062D044 C0230218
0062D048 D0230214
0062D04C 3C800003
0062D050 4B9FAB68
00037BB4 48605490
In Aldos Tools it does say eboot compatible. I'm running from disc, and replacing my supposedly modded cheat eboot into HDD:0\Game\BCUS99144\USRDIR\ replacing the eboot that is there. (I believe this is the correct folder for my update as the param.sfo says 1.12) However nothing changes and the code does not work.

I've tried both Artemis and CCAPI but in both when I activate this code it freezes, and I have to flip the power switch on the back to do a full boot. Hence my wanting to just do an eboot cheat and be done with it. Does any one have any idea's what I'm doing wrong?

Edit: I just noticed that I'm using a slightly different version than the codes are for, however in Artemis I did have red orbs maxed and infinite double jumps working fine on this copy. Both this and BCUS98232 (which the codes are for) still freeze my console the same. ]]>

I am currently using OpenEmu version 2.0.5. Using the following codes, I've been trying to enable the event that takes me to Southern Island in Pokémon Emerald. The code to get the Eon Ticket from the Mart works fine, but the code that enables the event does not work at all. I've also attempted to use a warp code to get to Southern Island, but that has not worked at all, either. Am I doing something wrong? Am I using the wrong code? Here are the codes I've been using. Any help would be greatly appreciated:

Final Fantasy V (SNES) Drop/Steal hacking help! http://gamehacking.org/vb/threads/17139-Final-Fantasy-V-(SNES)-Drop-Steal-hacking-help!?goto=newpost Tue, 25 Jul 2017 22:48:09 GMT Hey there, I've been trying to find a code to get a guaranteed steal/drop from monsters since I could not find it in any other website. I did find some useful information written by samurai goroh on the internet about the details of the monsters and their positions (http://www.erick.guillen.com.mx/Code...antasy%20V.txt). Specifically:

7E2246 XX 1st Enemy Steal success?
7E226B XX 1st Enemy Stolen Item ID "flag" (set to 00 to steal indefinitely)

Using Cheat Engine I've been able to determine that the 1st enemy steal success when it fails, the value is 00, when it succeeds the value is 0A(HEX). Likewise the value for the Enemy Stolen Item ID "Flag" is set to 00 when since the beginning of battle and changes to E0 after a successful steal, triggering the "Nothing to Steal" text and verified that it's intended value is correct and 00 will allow you to steal indefinitely.

The problem I'm having is that even though I can change the value of the Enemy steal success from 0A - 255 the steal success rate is still random and was wondering if there was anyone out there who could help me set it so that it would be a 100% success rate along with finding a drop rate code. Any help would be appreciated.
