MathUser nudged me to go dig up my oldest intact copy of the site, and this is what I came up with. Just extract the contents to a folder, open index.htm, and browse as desired. We've come a long way (and this was three years in already).


Can you find the Secret Room?

Peruse the fledgling GSHI Photogallery (which grew, and grew, and then disappeared), and ROFL at our teenage appearances.

Browse an endless collection of mostly Final Fantasy sprite images, for some reason.

Read Project Vocab in the Hacking FAQs section, wherein an adolescent Lazy Bastard attempts to cope with visitors asking questions like, "What the hell does LOL stand for?"

Let me know if you find something hilarious.

Code Page Update

This morning I updated the code page a bit. I moved the note under the code title, and I also made it show the whole note for you guys that like to print pages. If they get too big for the page and create too much scrolling, I can truncate the note for the screen, but have it show the whole thing when you print. Same with codes. If I decide to do that due to popular demand, of course you could always still see the whole note and the whole code with its conversions by pressing the down arrow on the right of the code.

I also made some tweaks for small screens and printouts. It should be easier to read on cell phones and such.

I've simplified the look, and updated the functionality. I hope everyone takes to it kindly. The main reason I did it all was to make the site more responsive for viewing on handheld devices. I also like a lot of the form controls and stuff this framework has to offer.

If you have a simple comment, you can reply in this thread. However if you have a problem or something looks broken, or a you have a suggestion to make it better, please post a new thread in the Under Construction/To Be Added subforum.



Codebreaker Day1 Modification

I modified our day1 server for codebreaker to host our current codes. Every time a code is added or changed to a PS2 game, a new cbc file is generated on our day1 server. This means we have the latest codes available right from your PS2!

The Codebreaker ELF modified to use our server and launch another ELF is available here:

The caveat: The day1 list is limited to 1200 entries, and there are about 1800 cbc files on our server. This means the list is truncated to the newest 1200 cbc's. If your game isn't listed, simply find the game in the database, select some codes, choose the cbc7-day1 export and click the download button. The game should then be available on the server.

Code Converter Upgrade

Last night I started work on a new feature for the code converters on the systems' home pages. It will basically help you create codes, it may be especially helpful with the later consoles that have complicated codetypes and whatnot. It's in beta right now, and presented as-is. I can't guarantee its accuracy, as it's not too smart on what the devices can and can't support. (e.g. all the different types of conditionals, or math operations.) Anyway, it's a good starting point.

You select the device and whether you want the code to be encrypted as usual, then choose a codetype and input the parts in the form that appears. Easy-peasy.

It should be working for all systems, but here is a link to PS2 anyway.
